EFFECTS OF FUNNELIFORMIS MOSSEAE INOCULATION ON CHILI PEPPER GROWTH UNDER REPEATED DROUGHT STRESS

چکیده
Chili pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is a common commodity used as spice and pharmaceutical uses around the world. However, chili cultivation failure often occurs due to drought exposure. The inoculation of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), such Funneliformis mosseae, has potential induce defense against stress through symbiotic association with plant roots. aim this research was investigate effects F. mosseae on growth under repeated stress. plants were exposed three regimes for two cycles, one rewatering event between cycles. agronomic variables, physiological performance, microorganism parameters observed. results showed that height, fresh dry shoot weight, along root weight increased significantly treatment also water relative content decreased proline lipid peroxidation significantly. Although exposure AMF colonization rate, total microbial activity glomalin-related soil protein still by inoculation. negatively correlated abundance phosphate solubilizing microorganisms. suggested gave positive C. L. induced morphological responses.

Effect of amino acid and mycorrhiza inoculation on sweet pepper growth under greenhouse conditions
ABSTRACT- The production of greenhouse sweet pepper is increasing because of the consumer demand for sweet pepper year around. In this study, physiological characteristics of sweet pepper were evaluated in a greenhouse under different levels of arbascular mycorrhizal fungus, Glomus intraradices, (AMF) and various levels of amino acid (AA). Treatments included no AMF as a control (AMF1), 1000 sp...
متن کاملPlant growth promoting bacteria effects on growth, photosynthetic pigments and root nutrients uptake of Avena sativa L. under drought stress
Drought stress is one of the most important factors affecting plant growth. Plant growth under drought stress may be enhanced by the application of microbial inoculation including plant growth promoting rhizobacteria. This research was conducted as a factorial experiment in a completely randomized design. The first factor included the bio-fertilizer (A. vinelandii (A)), P. agglomerans+ P. ...

A study was conducted to identify the effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi AMF (Funneliformis mosseae) infection on growth of black pepper (Piper nigrum Linn.) rooted cuttings. This experiment comprised of three inoculum rates (75g, 100g, and 150g of sorghum root-soil mixture containing Funneliformis mosseae) per 2kg of soil as well as two cultivars namely Panniyur-1 and GK49. Shoot and root ...
متن کاملEffects of Inoculation with Mycorrhizal Fungi on Growth and Heavy Metals Concentrations in Two Wheat Cultivars under Salt Stress Condition
The soil salinity and the diffusion of potentially toxic chemicals to the soil environment through industrial and agricultural activities are known as important factors affecting the productivity of crop plants. Thus, an efficient strategy to increase crop yield, and to improve human and environmental health, is necessary to mitigate the impacts of these detrimental factors. Accordingly, a fact...
متن کاملEffects of Azotobacter and Pseudomonas inoculation in mitigate drought stress effects in Dactylis glomerata L.
Background and objectives One of the main causes of plant growth and development disorders is the presence of adverse environmental conditions such as drought, which leads to stress in plants and endangers their survival. Recent research, however, recommends the use of soil microorganisms, especially plant growth-promoting bacteria, which are involved in plant growth as well as the nutrient cy...
